American peace keeping in Iraq

US soldiers were holding a party in Baghdad zoo.
One of them thought it would be a good idea to try to hand feed a rare Bengal Tiger.
The half starved creature snatched the food, biting off one of the soldier's fingers and clawing his arm in the process.
At which point, another soldier shot and killed the hapless creature.

How stupid can you get?

Nothing surprises me when it comes to US soldiers. They must have got bored with shooting allied troops and newly trained Iraqi policeman so now they're turning on the wildlife. No doubt they'll have a good cover story to justify shooting it, like "the tiger was harbouring a fierce glare and could have been a threat in the future".

Saddam killed over 2 million people in the middle east from 1982-2002. I'm sure a vast majority of those people were innocent. I know that has nothing to do with 9/11, but Saddam isn't the good guy, which most people seem to think.

Lol, this is insane! Why do these topics always turn into attention shifting exercises? OK, so these idiots are Americans. That doesn't mean you have to jump to their defence just because you are too.

For the record, I find the intelligence of all soldiers fairly dubious so it's not an anti-American issue. It just so happens that it's the American soldiers who keep hitting the headlines. I can't do anything about that.
