    Winamp 5

I'm wondering if anyone has downloaded the leaked alpha and played with it yet? I just got it, and it has been running very stable(ly) and quick with the freeform skins. Anyone who hated the slow speeds of Winamp 3 and wants freeform (WA3) skins should check it out, google search it and ye shall find.

      Looks nice, works great.

I'm looking to try the CD ripping function soon.

          Winamp 2 + Winamp 3 = Winamp 5.

Winamp 2 + Winamp 3 = Winamp 1; Winamp 3 was a step in the wrong direction. I still use the super-quick-loading, light, simple Winamp 2.

Of course Winamp 3 was a step in the wrong direction. WA# was a horrible, horrible failure due to how utterly slow it was. But when Winamp 5 goes as fast as Winamp 2 IMO...

Does it support Trillian's WinAmp plugin?
                :)

                  Suuuuuuure does!

In fact, it supports (most likely) all Winamp 2 plugins, although it has no WA3 plugin support.

I don't mean a Winamp2 plugin. I meant the plugin for Trillian that is designed to use Trillian as a sort of remote control for Winamp.
                    :)

IMO, it is a Winamp 2 plugin, it just plug into Trillian Pro.

Regaurdless, I am using Trillian Pro and Winamp 5 right now, and the plugin is fully operational.

Winamp was developed to be more than just a player, from MP3s to streaming video. It's your window to the multimedia world.

                            It's a leaked alpha. Just like Winamp 2.92, 2.95, and Winamp3 Build #499.
