    Hello,

    We appreciate your continued interest in the AdSense program. However,
    based on our review process, we feel your site does not meet the program
    requirements. As we grow, we may find that we are able to expand our
    program to more web publishers with a wider variety of web content.

    If you would like to submit another website, please reply to this email
    with that site's URL, and we will be happy to review it and reconsider
    your application.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Sincerely,

    The Google Team

      ONe thing to keep in mind, is that not only is it important to have a good site, but it is to fill out the application well.

      From my experience, putting a single "I don't know" to any traffic related question for instance will disqualify you.

        None of the above matters if they only serve you non-paying public service ads because of incompatiblity with vbulletin....

        Their banners still don't work on my site.

          Look around, it wasn't hard to find the tweaks necessary to make the ads match our content.

          We have our ads on our homepage, arcade page, stats page, newsportal, forumhome, forumdisplay, and showthread. Googel works great determining the content.

          Getting clicks is another story. Since ya can't encourage anyone to click ya have to depend on the quality of the ads.

          Good Luck

            Nopid, better placement of your ads will also help. For example, I have put my ads between the first and second post for guests, I also put a note that guests can register on the forums to get rid of the ad. However, it only removes the ad from under the first post, and places it right above the quick reply. Once registered, the text under the ad changes to a sales note to donate and browse the forums ad free...

              What I'm using is
              PHP Code:
              if($bbuserinfo['userid'] == 0) {

              $bbuserinfo['nosessionhash'] = 1;

              $session['sessionhash'] = '';

              I'm not sure if it's the right way to do it, but it works wonderfully for us
              Can someone verify if it's as easy to hack out session IDs from VB3 RC1?

              Or post what to change? Thanks...

              thanks

                It doesn't matter in vb3 :P
                just make sure your users browse without sessionhash in url and all will be well.
                vb3 recognizes google etc. as spiders, and it doesn't give them sessionhashes.

                  yeah... I did some testing...

                  So cookie-able guest users don't get session hashes in their urls... just in cookies? eh?

                  in vb2 they seemed to get both.

                  Because... just the googlebot not getting a session hash is not good enough. You also need a majority of users without url sessionhashes.

                      But: is there a way to let the ad links open in another window??

                        Ask their support?

                        With html, you can open a link to another window by adding target="_blank" to the link.

                        IIRC, their TOS said you can't modify their code.

                        Also, you already earn $1 / hour? You do know that your own clicks don't count right?

                          hey floris

                          Yeah, i noticed that my clicks don't count

                          My users are complaining about that the links don't open in another window but that's life and we can't do anything about that

                          What's about spiders? Does that count as a click if they spider my site and follow a link?
                          That's the end of that!

                            Spiders will not click on them due to the way they are displayed.

                            Be aware that by disclosing your earnings (or any other stat found in adsense control panel), or by clicking on your own links, you are in direct violation of Google's Terms and Conditions, which puts your priveldge to serve adsense ads, or receive your money (even for legitimate clicks) at severe risk.

                              okroguis: yeah, someone gave me an interesting link to a blog where someone posted his experience with google adsense. He stated that he got 'banned' because he told a friend how much he was earning
                              I don't click my links because i don't need to
                              That's the end of that!

                                I've had my AdSense up and running for a little while now.

                                Unfortunately, I don't get very many visitors to my site.
