    vBTDesign.com

Is anyone else receiving spam from these people? I keep getting spams from time to time. I went to the site and looked at it and I thought maybe I had actually signed up to receive emails, but then I went into the user control panel, they run vb as their main site, and tried to log in with the user id I always use, I wasn't registered. When I requested my password/userid with the the email they sent an email to, I wasn't listed.

Who are these guys? The reason I am asking here is becuase they are using a jelsoft.com server to send through, or so it seems to my untrained eyes.

Can anyone offered any ideas? Already reported to spamcop.

I haven't, but please don't use the Report form like you did; instead contact SaintDog directly.

I wouldnt call it spam, but I can see how your annoyed since hes using another official site to advertise his business. Its one simple email, no need for complaints here.

i thought spam was unsolicited advertising sent to you unasked, seems to fit this case doesnt it............

using the member database from one message board to advertise another is not very good practise really.........

filbert, I'm sorry that you got the message I reported, but since I couldn't post a message and there was no easy way to find the admin info, I didn't want to send an email. I shouldn't have to contact SaintDog or send an email. I didn't ask for the emails from them and I will continue to report them as spam.

As for the reason I posted it here on vb, that was becuase the headers had jelsoft in it. Figured if they were using jelsoft's servers for spamming, someone ought to know about it.

Thanks Freddie. I knew VB would do the right thing.

Now, I am curious to know how they got my information.

Probably from vBulletinTemplates, or the plethora of other sites that SaintDog owns.
                    :)

that doesnt mean he can use the member database's as his own mailing list for advertising...

This isn't the first time i've received unsolicited emails because of me being a member at vBT, Saintdog also uses that place to advertise his hosting service to some extent.

I also received that mail. I don't remember registering to that site, but maybe I did a few years ago but I don't really remember.
