Any decent (commercial) ASP/MicrosoftSQL-driven forums out there?

Just out of curiosity. The moneymen is thinking about moving to a pure MS server, and I like to know what the alternative to vB would be.

    Thanks,

Do you really think this is the appropriate place to ask?

    Anyway, try Google...

Why wouldn't it be? I'm sure a lot of people around here, has considered other solutions than vBulletin? I'm sure I'll prefer vBulletin, but if I have to make an argument against switching to ASP/MSSQL I have to know what the alternative to vBulletin would be.

Snitz Forums exists, but it really is a poor alternative to vBulletin. Many standard features of vBulletin are only available for it as unsupported hacks and others are not available at all . The one advantage is that its free, however the free php forums beat it hands down.

Well, there are two quite decent ASP boards around, imo.

There's Snitz (http://forum.snitz.com/), a current leader of ASP-based bulletin boards. And there's WebWiz (http://www.webwizguide.info/forum/default.asp), a nice board as well (I use it myself).

But still, both aren't anywhere near vB's features and quality. Both don't have any style or template functions, so redoing the layout is a pain. They both also lack a few standard features, which you'd expect on any bulletin board.

If you can, and 'the moneymen' allow it, I suggest you create your own. Not only is it a lot more fun, it also allows you to build in the features you want.
