mod_auth_mysql with md5

Hi guys,

i'm trying desesperatly to install the mod_auth_mysql 3.2 module on my apache 1.3.26.
i'm on a redhat 7.2

i have just downloaded the v 3.2 at sourceforghe, but when i edit the file, it shows v3.1 ... starnge

so, when i try to "Make" the .so, i got an error.
the system tells me that apxs is not a valid command.

i think that the makefile is corrupted ...

must i do another thing before "Make" ?
must i log su apache ?
must i put the sources in a specific directory ?

oh i realize that i haven't said taht it's to link a htaccess auth file with my vB.

to ./configure add --with-apxs=/path/to/apache/bin/apxs... if it uses a configure script.

No personal experience with that, but APXS is an apache executable for dynamically adding in modules without recompiling... like really really cool DSOs

/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs -i -a -c mod_auth_mysql.c


Of course, find the true location to apxs doing locate...

i'm just a ****ing noob, i just had to edit the makefile to add the path to apxs.

Thanks again, this mod is really huge to protect a vB.

Not a perl file then? APXS only contains your apache build config [or not if package] -
