Yeah Norton warns me as well. I'm just sick and tired of deleting it 20 times a day.

Isn't their a setting somewhere is Norton where you can automatically deleted incoming infected emails ?

I'll see if I can find it.

          Yeah, I just found it.

In the options under "Email and Internet" their is an option that says:

"How to respond when an infected email is found?"

And their is a bullet point option that says:

"Repair and then delete is unsuccessfull.

          Hope this helps

Already have that checked, but when it fails to repair it it asks me what to do.

Yeah the email is then quarantined. you have to go to Nortons site to get a patch so that you can delete it. Be careful if you have Win Xp. They have isntructions at the site.

Yay! I just had to remove this (Klez.H) from my mom/dad's computer yesterday. Not fun -- the wink*.exe file would delete itself whenever I went into DOS and I assume just stick a registry entry into to another program.

Had to get the process viewer off of MSVC++ (which has the abilities to kill processes) to remove it.

I'm not kidding here: my parent's computer is legitimately too old to run Norton AV. It apparently requires Win 95B (they have 95A).

That still throws up a "We fixed it" type message that you have to hit close on for email downloading to continue. really annoying when you're not around...

Does that still bring up the warning ?

I have Calypso, it is a free e-mail client for Win32, and it has the option to filter. The great thing about calypso is, is that it doesn't auto run scripts or load attachments into memory and other stuff outlook does do. The filter option has $regex(); whoei!

So I just enter 'I hope you would like it' from subject with regular expression checked, and option 'don't retreive, delete immediatly from server'. And apply the filter to the e-mail accounts.

Now when I check e-mail and it finds these mails, I won't even get a notice, because it gets deleted directly on the mailserver.

(actually, I do this will all possible virus extentions, like vbs and shs and such.) - Besides that, each E-mail that I did not ask to be send to me, will be deleted and not even viewed, this saves me a lot of trouble and time (and yunkmail/spammail).

To awnser your questions, yeah, its a virus/trojan that is trying to spread itself.
