Ah yes, we learned all about that in Civics this year. Law of supply: Companies will supply more products when they can sell them at a higher price, and less when they can sell them at a lower price. Law of demand: Consumers will purchase more when they can purchase at a lower price, and less when the price is higher. Another term that could come into play here would be inflation.

Not for installations where they each individually take a person's time to complete - for licenses yes this is the case as they cost nothing to distribute, but for installations they will increase in value as the installer's time becomes more valuable, which will happen when demand increases.

I remember the history of Vbulletin, and I daresay that I was the one that may have pushed the idea enough for John to agree it was going to make money.

No, John and James deserve all of the credit!

I was just so happy with the idea of using his forum software that I kept pitching the idea of releasing the software in some fashion to the public. I could not leave it alone because I thought it would be hot, and I think it helped.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

Yeah, had a blast helping out around here. Just did not have enough time to keep up with all the changes due to work loads, but I have always tried to follow vb development as closely as I could.

Here is some good history from the months prior to the naming and releasing of vBulletin..

Read the threads in order.. The last link is the forum where it all took place..

                            Cheers..

I don't like vBulletin, which is why i will recode it in VISUAL BASIC, and store all the data in an ACCESS DATABASE.

                                who wants to beta?
