Do a mysql dump at 1am server time every day, timestamp it, gzip it, then upload it to another FTP (in this case, my ISP's webspace place), and then delete any other dumps already there if they are over 4 days old?

I need to do backups, but I dont really want to go to the admin cp everynight and download one...

you can start with this:

and modify it to your needs, running this script then via cronjob should do it,
