Running an illegal vb board?

If you know for a fact that a site is running vbulliten and they didnt pay for it. Can they get in trouble?

Ok, my friend wanted a board but he liked VB so he went to this site and paid to download the whole thing.
Then some people of another board running Ubb saw his and liked it but they didnt want to pay for VB so they got it from him.

So can the guy who is running the illegal board get his board shut down?

What do you mean 'they got it from him'? If he gave anyone access to the vB distribution files, then the answer is 'Yes', he can get into trouble for distributing software illegally.

Don't bother asking exactly what trouble he'll get into. He'll find out soon enough. The best thing you can do is urge your friend to report the illegal board that's running his copy of the software. He can do this by sending an email to [email protected].

Yes, they will, and I will also guess that they didnt fix whatever all the Warez versions do in thier "spyfix" version, so I would assume vBulletin will find out at some point

Get your friend to report it to [email protected] as they are only damaging themselves by helping piracy, hence damaging vBulletin

You will get arrested, raped in jail, lose your job, ridiculed in public, fined $10,000, kicked out of school, have your website terminated, etc etc etc...

ok the guy with the legal version of the VB goes to the forums of the illegal one.
The board that has the illegal copy used to have ubb, but after seeing the other guys VBoard they liked it a lot.
So they asked him if he would give them the zip file of the forums and he said ok.
