XiBase 299 members, 3800something threads, 37000something posts. It's not tiny, but it's not as big as a lot of other boards either.

Incidentally, although it's not vBulletin, it's close enough, and it counts as small

OK, it's only been up for 2.5 days, but still... it's small

Heh, a year and two months later, XiBase has 369 members, 5.3k threads, and 52k posts. OTC has 449, 8.9k and 201k. I don't think OTC counts as small anymore.

XiBase has been around for a few years, there is a group of core posters that hang around even though the site is basically dead now. It was originally started as an alternative to Hardware Central, I believe. So was Off Topic Central (the name is based on it, we were originally just one OT forum); it just started at a good time when the people at HWC were starting up again whining about their OT forum being gone (which happened long ago). Add in a few mod/logo voting and banning controversies to keep it interesting, and a shaky membership that threatens to start a mass exodus at any second, and kills time by posting in the meantime, and you've got 200,000+ posts.

i just started the very beginning of may... i've been in the message board business for about two years, (first time owning a vB) and i usually get quite a few members in the first week (20 or so) and then it dies out... i just hope it doesn't happen this time, b/c i paid money, LOL... but i've never gotten this many members and such... i think i'm doing pretty good so far... and the majority of members are active
