When I was 8 computers, as far as I was concerned, never connected to anything else at all. They were just for typing out boring DOS commands and playing 2D games like Duke Nukem (the original is STILL a blast).

I remember hearing about something magical called "CompuServe," where you could get files and such from other people all over the country. Blew my mind.
