Which one to choose for my forum - phpBB or vBulletin or bbPress?

I have searched them on Google and find a complete comparison at https://hostingreview360.com/phpbb-o...in-or-bbpress/. But still, I'm confused among them. Any suggestion for me?

Have you already tried the vBulletin Trial versions? They give you a good idea about how this software works and what it has to offer.

      vB 4:

My biggest regret was upgrading to VB5. It lacks many fixes that still need to be done (and which don't come fast enough, although they try) , as well as lacking enhancements/hacks.
And I am finding it almost impossible to go backwards (you need 3rd party help - difficult to find)

VB4 is superior in what you can do with it.

Buy VB5 but install and use VB4. You will not regret installing VB4, imo it is superior to phpBB as well.

I’m only mentioning vBulletin because of its popularity and some in their search may not know yet that vBulletin is not free nothing wrong with that, but I’ll assume you’re looking for something free and may have considered vBulletin from word of mouth.

vBulletin is DEFINITELY the most robust forum software out there. Personally, I absolutely HATE the look of vB4 and vB5 so like many others, I just stick with vB 3.x. Almost all the large forums I frequent are still running with the 3.x series of vB. There are a TON of mod's available on vbulletin.org which will allow you to really take advantage of vB's full potential.

I would have to agree with XenonKilla! vBulletin all the way!

                Bulletin is better for security.

                But phpbb is more user-friendly
