I tried CoolMon once when I was on Win98 and it just crashed all the time. So I got rid of it fast, even though I really liked the program, it was just a hassle. But I just now installed it on XP and it's not acting up anymore. Shibby!

Oh, is there any way to have the Windows Version displayed on the desktop?

Just add the Windows version to coolmon item list. Coolmon crashed on Win98 because it is only compatible with 2K and XP.

Ahh, I didn't know it wasn't compatable with 98. But about the version number, I'm not talking about with CoolMon. I've noticed on alot of desktops, on the bottom right hand corner, is the Windows version or build number (such as on Ian's, where it displays "Build 2600" just above the system tray). Is this a feature or an option of Windows, or is it something you'd have to add manually?

That's feature of TweakUI, which is part of the Microsoft Windows PowerToys.

Stupid M$ has been holding off Power Toys (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/h.../powertoys.asp) for a long time. They've said it would be available twice and on those two dates before they updated it saying it would be available on the next date. It better be available in April and not some crap about it being developed until December.

From where? The XP Home and Pro links show the same thing.

It would seem that MS have taken down the Powertoys download page, but Codename49 is correct too, as I too have been using the XP Powertoys for a long time now...

How'd you get the arrow in your screen shot? Whenever I take one, the arrow always blinks out of existance so you never see it....
