Well I'm a bit less of a coder than a designer, although I would make a fine coder, definetly enjoyed my computer science courses, but we must limit ourselves in this life. I have a couple projects in my mind that I may need to learn PHP & MySQL for, so I may become a regular in the future, who knows

yes i see you don't have many members yet. Well starting a new forum is very hard. Don't give up, try to get links from popular websites, that will help you out immeasurably, also co-branding is a super way to get activity. And remember, success takes time

btw, while I do like your design, I'm going to suggest you change it for two reasons:

1. I'm not sure about the copyright laws, but you MIGHT be in violation. Even if you aren't, it doesn't exactly thrill people to see a design that looks so near to another well-known design, ya know? If you want your forums to look really sharp, you need to be more original.

2. It's a bit disconcerting to have a design that makes you think iTunes for a coder forum. You'd expect it to be a forum about music or mp3s.

I like the bottom and the edge, just figuring out something new for the top might be a good idea.

:/ honestly it has hardly any exact resemblance to the program, so i highly doubt it would violate any laws...

maybe it's just that I use iTunes all the time, but I really couldn't help but see the resemblance. Honestly I think the design would be better for the change. You obviously have a handle on design, so it shouldn't be too hard to adjust, eh?
