Recently I reached out to the owner (I believe he is the owner*) of LINK REMOVED to tell him (ask him - offered up my drivers license as proof) to remove a topic online. Someone is posting as if they where me and making me out to be someone I'm not.
I goggled the domain and found that the contact name was NAME REMOVED* from a painting company in the US. I emailed and got no response. Later I goggled the number and left a message. The page was not removed but simply made so I could not see it.
I tried to track down another number for this man and later found a new thread on his web forum. The long and short was that if I called him again he would spread my name across gay, porn, wife swapping and other sites for a long long time.
This certainly is not acceptable I'm thinking. I looked up the rules and found that the pages are not suppose to have violence, hate, racism and the like.
Some many references to women it's alarming.
Here is a fine example of what I found.
The poster "Modern" is I believe the owner of this forum. I can not be sure since it seams they impersonated others on a regular basis. I did find another forum where the user name Modern was used at in the description he is a painter. With In this forum I found mentions of the owners name under post made by Modern. Pretty sure but not certain.
Can sites like this be shut down or should I just accept it as part of being in the public eye. Sad if the later is true.
