vb site was down why

    Computer Chat vb site was down why

    this and the .org site have been down for hours and I have noticed over the last few's days it has been very laggy so whats going on was the site hacked why was it down for so long

    Don't breathe yet, it came back up earlier and went straight down again. This might not last too long.

    Almost seven hours downtime is pretty dire. Something major must have gone wrong. At one point the DNS didn't even resolve.

            From my checking it seems the entire connection to the data center was down. Don't know the exact reason except the servers weren't accessible and if they aren't accessible to the internet they aren't hackable during that time. Well unless it was an inside job.

              Note that tis affected all IB sites, not just vBulletin
              Vote for:

              - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
              - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)
