Did a search and found no recent poll on this so I'll start a new one.
What (desktop) browser do you like and why? Have you tried more than one or two or are you so convinced from your current choice that you even don't consider to test the alternatives?
My no. 1 choice since some years is Opera.
The main reasons are:
- tabs!
I'm this sort of web user opening several websites (at this moment 150 pages) and have them open all time. If I close the browser and open again they are still there.
- you can save open tabs as sessions, so many as you want
- simple and quick restoring of the last closed tabs
- side panel where you can list all open tabs, history, favorites, downloads
- you can customize the search bar very easy and there is no limit
- If you right click your mouse you see all open tabs and can scroll to any of them
- paste and go (copy a web link and use the right click option "paste and go" inside the url address bar or search bar, only one single click where all other browsers need two clicks)
- mouse gestures, custom keyboard shortcuts
- speed dial
- password manager (it's even saving the vb member area pw)
There are so many useful and user friendly settings I can't list them all. I only can recommend to test this browser and if you really use it for some days and check out all options you'll never want to change again. >>Opera<<
Other browsers I've tested so far:
IE
Firefox
Chrome
Maxthon (some years ago)
Safari
