I tried to make this clear, but since people didn't understand I'll say it again:

I am not talking about copying off active competitors, I am talking about copying off advertisement announcements for new, in the making forum software that list original ideas and features, they should wait until after the software has been launched before copying it

On the contrary, in a sense that's slightly "better" because you know there is no chance of them actually copying the code used, and forces them to come up with their own unique method of adding such a feature.

Let me understand, they are copying announcements about their software?

Its still cruel to the people who put thought into the ideas though

No, they are copying ideas off announcements announcing the release of new software, here's a random demonstration:

"I am making new forum software called [INSERT NAME HERE]... blah blah blah blah blah...
Here are some of the original features it will have:
            - [insert feature here]
            - [insert feature here]
            - [and so on...]"

(I know that isn't very professional but its just an example)

Yeah! I was about to say the same. Claiming all this without showing any proof of what your talking about is pie in the sky. I can tell you I won 7 million on the lottery yesterday, doesn't mean I actually did without some proof.

I said something earlier in this thread:

Also, my friend who I just happened to mention XenForo to told me about it (I didn't even know he was into this forum software stuff) even though I had already figured it out

Also, I doubt I'll get infracted for this since I'm defending the software this forum was made for

                  @Leadcrow: What do you mean?
My friend is VERY smart by the way

Ah? Who are we talking about and who's copying who?
I'm at a loss here now.

My friend is VERY smart by the way
Logic would require that we ask for proof, but I believe none should be necessary.

Not smart enough looking at the lack of "proof". Also, why are you quoting yourself?

I'll assign blame on misunderstandings and unsubstantiated first impressions. Everyone who got corrected was mistaken beforehand.

I think that is all part of the plan.
