There have always been users selling vBulletin licenses. There are also users switching from IBP and xF to vBulletin. Its a matter of prefrence and which script you feel meets your needs. This is and always will be true. People should use whichever fits their needs the best and they also like developing (styles, templates, addons, plugins etc) for.

Regardless of merits and own preferences, technical difficulties in migrating can make it a pain to move away from some scripts (as example, I myself see conversational private messaging as one critical aspect that must not be botched in migrations, yet there's no real best onesiefitsall solution to convert from conversations to 'normal' PMs).

I've read @ two or three posts where someone asked about a XF to vB conversion, but haven't seen any sites actually convert as of yet. Is it even possible?

FWIW, I've seen a few people want to convert to both vB and IPB from XF.
