I scanned a few and they are well written. I'm ever the skeptic. I just know what I've seen on other such sites. I tend to rely on the adsense google groups when I have problems or talk with my adsense rep to get help with optimizing my revenue.

Google Groups are great for help but not so for sharing new Ideas.

I wish you luck and hope you prove me wrong. I did bookmark it and will visit from time to time. Haven't registered yet though.

@Jacqui, the owner, Alice, or should I say, Karl, ran out of steam today, and scrapped his site in a fit of rage after 2 of his staff resigned today due to the abuse he was giving them both, and certain member's! The site is no more!

I still think it's content that makes a forum.
Next it's the type of people on the forum.

The skin is irrelevant unless you have a reason to be there.

The first part is quite true and I think most people would agree, but surely the same applies to a church or a school. The community, spirit and achievements are what really count, however to say a "skin" is irrelevant is like saying no church or school should bother about the architecture, decor or environment of their institution.

I'm particularly proud of the look I have built up, and at times have changed it, e.g. taking away the coffee beans. The members were all most upset and I had to reinstate the beans, as the look and feel of the forum had helped the site become "not just a.n.other forum", but become a reassuring, relaxing and friendly and more inspiring forum.

Also it was also important for me to integrate it into the other three sites which all serve a different purpose. It was important that this site is seen as the "sociable" or "participation" area of the four sites, rather than just giving out information, hence the "cafe" theme.

Why would you put the fake rocking chair 'ghost' video on your front page, it only makes all your content look fake and stupid. There are plenty of "real" (or at least questionable) paranormal videos to show... this one just makes a joke of your forum.

Must say, that I like the smaller sized Status Icons used by this forum. It looks a lot better than the default large ones vBulletin uses by default. There more or less the same also, just basic in design. But just being smaller looks much better.
