I am in the process of buying a second-hand owned licence for $80.
Considering the VAT on the cheapest new licence is $34.25 I think I'm making the best choice.
I'll get a few years use out of it before I have to worry about an upgrade. Who knows, vB 4 may even be bug free by then.

looks like vb3 is already nearing EOL with the announcment of 3.8.6 being the last maintnence release. and the planned eol is when 4.1 or 4.2 comes out. just food for thought.
