Thought the ITV (UK) commentry was very disrespectful in the opening few minutes. Just after the goal was scored - "This could be a lot of fun", hinting at a thumping for the US team. As someone who's done commentary for a club's own website, we wwren't allowed to say things to our own fans (the only ones listening) like that let alone a national station which would have been watched by US citizens resident here.

As it turns out, while England spurned some chances, the US could also have won that game and are not the slouches that everyone thinks they are!

That's nonsense. If you're in England, expect to experience English bias from an English TV channel, with English commentators commenting on an English football team. If you don't like it, tough.

The real problem is your underlying animosity towards England because you're from one of the other home nations. Contrary to popular belief most English people will get behind the home nations in a tournament, but god forbid any of the other's do the same...
