With the difference that Kier has a proven track record.

"the first of this year's big releases." Well it does look like he has something planned to release. It does not mean it will be forum software tho.

I said I'd buy it regardless of whether I could actually implement it, simply to show support for the project.

Mind you, I did buy the suite here in the presale at $135 so I never had an issue on that score.

he does have a MUCH better track record than IB does or might ever have.

            Irony rules.

I of course would be very interested in whatever he produced but I think people have gone a little OTT over the whole thing. Poor guy can't even tweet about having a baby without people instantly thinking he is REALLY talking about a vB killer. What about the rest of the vB team that were working with him on an existing product (vBulletin)? He was part of an awesome team building on a great product AFAIK it is now just him working on a more than likely great but non existing product. I could see him releasing something with a shed load of great opportunity, but unless he has a team of coding elves it isn't going to be anything I will be anxious to change my sites over to in 2010.

But lets raise our glasses to optimism, success and the latest addition to his family.

Maybe Kier should do a pre-sale? Worked perfectly for IB

How could you prepay for this "release"?

I think that's more of a reference to Kier's second child birth

Matt's tweet is a coded reference to the true location of the Holy Grail.

There it is, Kier's new baby. In the true sense of the word.
                            That's the end of that!

I heard that Kier's forum software will provide an API for that.

I thought I'd dig this one back up.

Rumours abound, that Kier might be making some kind of announcement later this week, about whatever he's been working on.

If true, things might be about to get rather interesting.

                                *fingers crossed*
