in the forums they have admin privileges except accessing the adminpanel. like a supermoderator or so.
But on the other pages of our sites....

We have a special usergroup for new members. The only permissions they have are view forum, search, post threads and replies. They cannot use PMs, view profiles, or edit their own profile. They have to have a few legit posts in forums where posts count before they're moved to full membership privileges. This along with registration moderation keeps our troll problems under control.

Is their anyway to make a certain forum be viewable to a certain group, or do i have to set all the privs in modify forums (annoying)

I just have a set hierarchy for the crew and made the base conference only visible to them (in Modify Forum Permissions). That cascaded down to all sub forums. Then I went into subforums and made only certain ones accessible to Developers and Moderators.

I have Epinions Members, and staff. The Epinions members have access to the Epinions forums. Epinions staff members don't get extra priveleges, but it marks them as staff when they post.

of course, they don't post because it makes my nitwit competitor whine and cry, but we won't go there
