    +1

I like Fedora for desktop/laptop use as well, and lately Cent OS for server use.

Now that you three are already part of our family, time to post a blog or two about your new dutties (hint hint ).

I rather have the switch embedded in the wall and the screws below the surface, and the surface be touch sensitive that changes color when on, and fades out when off.

Some probably say it is overkill, I rather call it usable and intuitive. And it sure does look nicer in the living room. You can still see the faded switch in the dark, without it glowing too much, and once it is on, it's clearly on, and easy to spot to turn off.

In regards to the chip that's probably there to make this happen, it will also allow it to be disability friendly, for example a beep when getting closer to it for blind people. A double and different pitch beep when using it .. (yes, blind ppl might have visitors and want the lights on).

I hope you get my drift, and I hope Sophie can add to the UI of vBulletin, so we can move onwards with a 2010 interface, rather than continue with the 2002 one.

I personally don't want ugly screws with paint on them in a plastic enclosure stuck on top of a wall with a switch that is featureless. But that's just me

I don't know if your entire post was joking or not but I saw the lightswitch as a metaphor. The comparison would be that the best interface is one that the simplest and most intuitive while getting the job done.

Compare the switch above with the one attached here...
