    Firefox 3.5 loses connection

Every since I updated to FF 3.5 (OS X) my homepage loads fine, then when I click on a bookmark or type in a site it just dies and has no connection. After a few clicks or a few minutes it seems to resolve the issue. No odd add on's installed.

I was just curious if anybody else had this issue.

Nope, but I don't use FF 3.5 as my main browser. Even so it's crashing 2-3 times a day. AFAIC it's not ready for prime time.

No problems with crashes on my end but I agree with your not ready for prime time opinion.

Since I posted that it crashed again. I have a few sites open that reload on a regular basis.

I was just going to say the same thing.
FF 3.5 freezes fairly often on my Mac.
FF 3.5 freezes on my PC also, just not as often.

FF needs to go back in the oven for a little longer.

I've been using Minefield (FF preAlpha for v4) and it's more stable than 3.5 has been!

I haven't had any such problems with FireFox 3.5, and I use it quite a bit.

Losing connection is pretty unlucky, but you could have it worse and have Firefox freeze every few seconds, at least for the first twenty minutes it's running. That was my experience with it recently, and while it usually works fine after a while, the general problems and possibly memory problems with the program are still annoying as heck.

FF 3.5 is working perfectly for me here. Though I'm using Linux not mac or windoze.

Been using it for a few hours now, while setting up an internal site using HTML5 and <video> tags (Ogg) ready for prime time (And no, I don't care if IE doesn't like it or safari) not a single slow down or crash :-)

Oddly enough after the last firebug update it stopped doing this. Also just updated to 3.5.1 so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

It's been doing that for me as well whenever I go on any vBulletin forums the page freezes.
I reckon it might be a bug in the system where Firefox doesn't recognise that we need to post something up and it freezes causing us to have blank pages.

3.5.1 has been flaky on my Mac too.
                        Locks up, drops connection.
I'll find out how 3.5.1 works on my PC later at work.

Same here. Many of my members report the same issue with FF tabs freezing on vb pages. However, after waiting they often become usable again.

I posted a bug report on this, but no one posted that they could reproduce this.
