Michael Jackson reported dead at 50

    linky - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/8119951.stm

Pop star Michael Jackson has been rushed to hospital in Los Angeles with suspected cardiac arrest. The Los Angeles Times reported that the 50-year-old singer was not breathing when paramedics arrived at his home.
The paramedics performed CPR and took him to the UCLA medical centre, the newspaper says. Officials would not confirm if the CPR was successful.
The star was due to begin a series of comeback concerts with an appearance at London's O2 arena on 13 July.
He has a history of health problems and has not completed a concert tour in 12 years.
Michael Jackson's home is off Sunset Boulevard in Bel Air.

Unconfirmed reports on TMZ entertainment website say the 50-year-old star has died.
It doesn't say anywhere that he's dead. At least not officially
"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time!"
"It's important to only think about what you desire, not what you fear to achieve your ultimate goal!!"
"When doors close, tear down the walls. Never give up!"

There's a number of conflicting reports. No one knows if he's alive or dead at the moment. Some say he died, but other sources are saying they were able to revive him and he's at the hospital.
Congratulations on the death of vBulletin, Internet Brands.

At the time of posting only one website is saying he's actually dead - no confirmation has been forthcoming...

LA Times now reporting he's in a Coma!

Let's leave the speculation and wait until an announcement is made

Yeah, I would expect the BBC News to be one of the first to release information on their site if he was dead. But they are not saying it.

Pretty much all news agencies get their news off the main Reuters industry feed (not web feed). It's a complex live news scrolling system they use. Sky news occasionally show viewers the screen they see. Nevertheless, keep an eye on reuters for "official" news

Local Los Angeles broadcast news is stating that he was in full cardiac arrest when paramedics arrived and they were not able to revive him during transport. Few dozen news crews parked in front of the hospital.

Same on the local broadcast news. They are getting ready to have a press conference.
