There is a duplicate thread about this topic.
I don't think vbulletin will ever be any good at SEO unless they have a dedicated team on this.
I used to bi**** about Vbseo and its price. I still don't like their price but I bought it 1 1/2 months ago out of frustration and now I realized I lost more money and time for years by b*****ing about the price. I hate myself for being so cheap sometimes. It's a negative cell in me. LOL. My adsense went from $1/day to $15/day so far and traffic is going through the roof.
Anyway, it worked for me.
Making money from Adsense is more about were you place your ads and how well they fool people. It has nothing to do with SEO for the large part, thread will always get indexed sooner or later with or without it installed. You can have as many people visiting your site as you wish, but if you have bad adsense placement, you'll always earn peanuts because nobody will click them.Last edited by MRGTB; Tue 30 Jun '09, 5:26pm.Comment

Sorry, but your post "smells very much like a vBSEO promotional" tactic to me. I find it hard to believe you have gone from $1 to 15 dollars with Adsense, just because you use vBSEO. Quoting pounds signs to make people flock for it. MMmmm, let's see some screen-shots of that then?
I was just like you for two years reading and believing these useless posts againts vbseo. It created hatred in my head for Vbseo. I realized it all boiled down to the price because I'm a cheapo of the worst kind.
I don't have any referral url in my posts. I have nothing to do with those guys. screenshots can be faked. Yes, average as of today is over $15/day.
Regarding adsense, vbseo has helped in that regard by showing relevant adsense ads. My forum was a sewer of irrelevant ads nobody clicked and traffic was a joke. Traffic is going through the roof now. Believe me, I live in Google Analytics and Awstats every second of the day.Last edited by jmvb; Tue 30 Jun '09, 7:18pm.Comment

I'm not a vBSEO hater, even though you and others may think I am. All because I don't agree with you, doesn't mean I hate vBSEO.
I have proven this fact myself to be true. I have run two websites, one was getting a 10th of the traffic daily as my other site. Yet that site with less traffic was the one earning all the money from Adense, 99% of it. Why? because the ads on that site blended in much better with the overall theme, so it earned all the money with a 10th of the incoming traffic as my other site. And the pages were not even indexed high in Google, and had a low PR.
Just because vBSEO might rank your pages higher doesn't mean your going to start making a fortune from adsense. Like I say, just another punt to make vBSEO look like it's worth every penny. I don't like seeing members here get fooled into parting with their money because of posts that give false information.
Oh, and quite frankly. I don't think it should be allowed on this site to keep promoting another 3rd party product like vBSEO now IB have taken over things. Which always seems to do the rounds here every month or so. How many more vBSEO threads do we need posted that's already been covered a million times already?Last edited by MRGTB; Tue 30 Jun '09, 5:49pm.Comment

MRGTB, do you have Vbseo installed on any of your forum(s)?
I don't know what to tell you. I'm not a coder, seo guru and know just a bit of html. The only thing I have done to my forum is install vbseo and its sitemap (I had run it before installing vbseo). My traffic and earnings have increased dramatically in a short period of time since Vbseo. Ah, about a year ago I submitted my home page to 2000 directories (through a digital point guy) which gave me a pr 1, but a few months later went back to 0. That's it.
I have two blocks of adsense ads above the fold (below the navbar) and a rectangle below the last post. Above the fold ads make 99.9% of the money. That's the exact ad setup I had before installing Vbseo when earnings and traffic were a joke.
It seems I have to blame Vbseo for the increase of income and traffic, don't you think?Last edited by jmvb; Tue 30 Jun '09, 7:44pm.Comment

Voted "No". Every great and popular software needs in enhancements. vBulletin needs more and more enhancements, not less and less enhancements. And this is good for all, including customers and Jelsoft. I am sure vBSEO will become more sophisticated product in the future and will not become obsolete for sureComment

I will keep VB, and I will keep VBSEO.
Honestly, I think VBSEO is superb on its own, lots, and lots of features crammed into the product itself.
vB4 is essentially a forum product, and not a direct competitor to VBSEO. vB4 will have friendly SEO, but it won't replace vbSEO.Comment

I think waiting for vb4 and seeing what it has to offer would better help us answer this question.Comment

I do not believe vbseo will become obsolete. Vbseo has been working on SEO for vb for years now and this means that thousands of hours of work is in the code. You can't just do that next to the regular development in even months. My guess is that vbulletin will probably not reach the same level at the first release of the SEO features. So it's not a bad idea to still buy vbseo now since it will help rank your forum a LOT higher at this time and probably for a long time after this.Last edited by dutchbb; Sun 2 Aug '09, 9:46am.Comment

vbSEO has much expertise in the SEO market. vbSEO is not a competitor to jelsoft as vbSEO only works for jelsoft customers. Therefore there's no need for jelsoft to compete with vbSEO. It's easier for customers to just use one product rather than buying, installing and configuring a second one. If you make money out of your forum and you think, that additional SEO capabilities will bring you more money in - then you might think of hassling with another product that will give you these capabilities and therefore more money. As vbSEO can not guarantee you "buy our product for ... dollars and you will get ... dollars back from advertisements and so on", it is a bet. I doubted whether vbSEO would help my SEO - from actual google rankings, it really did.
I think that vbSEO will always use some more actual SEO tweaks where jelsoft has to test everything far more out.Comment
