    Way Off-Topic Friday The 13th - 2009 Remake

Probably my most favourite movie series as a kid "Friday The 13th - The Remake" started last night in North America, did anyone go and see it?

I definitely plan to go, but everyone I could have went with last night was either busy, or working..

Anyone care to share their thoughts or reviews??

I went to see it on Friday, I thought it was ok, it was better than my bloody valentine and a lot of the recent teen horrors. It had quite a few bits throughout it that made you jump and an ok storyline but nothing I would get overly excited about. I would go and see it if you liked the original ones.

I seen it tonight, it was just pretty good if you ask me..

Not a big hit, but worth watching.. Nothing to miss something over...

I liked it but my girlfriend didn't. Any cure against bruises on my right upper arm?
          That's the end of that!

The original was awful. No doubt the remake is 10 times worse.

Probably because the women in the movie were very good looking, women hate that. I was very surprised...

The original was not my favourite , but you did need to see it to make the rest make more sense. It was good, but I liked part 2 the best, part 3 being my second favourite..

I really dislike remakes, but when they remake something that was your favourite movie for over 20 years, you kind of must see it,..

Hellraiser is another one I wish they would just leave alone, but they won't it is all about money.
My Second favourite as a kid was the Halloween series, I have all except part three "not related to MM anyways" on DVD, and boxed special DVD sets.
I have to start working on blu-ray collections now loll....

                      I agree, I loved 2 and 3 as well.

I haven't seen it yet and most reviews are negative, but I've heard that from a remake perspective, it's decent. I'll probably check it out once it's on DVD or something.
