Will be interesting to see wich products you also tried and why you choose the one.

Currently I am using colorer library (EclipseColorer).

I've actually not tried many, to be honest. I used to use something called Maguma Studio but it has since been a dead project and after I decided to find something with more features, a friend recommended me phpDesigner 2007 and I've been using it ever since.

I still haven't found a good Linux equivalent to use on Fedora, though.

                      EditPlus3. Amazing.

UltraEdit is good, but has a user-unfriendly & cluttered interface.
You're spending millions of dollars on a website?!

phpDesigner is fast? I used to love it, but with each version, it got slower and slower...

I guess NVU is not being updated any longer, but this is the new open source continuation of the project.

What is the point paying for an IDE? I tried out PHP Designer and you can go to the toolbar and insert various statements. For example you can click on 'Class" and it'll insert class {}. I can type that quicker than going to the toolbar selecting "PHP --> Class". In my opinion paying for an IDE is dumb.

I use Crimson Editor by the way.

I've always found phpDesigner to be very fast.

I especially like it's built-in support for TortoiseSVN and phpDoc, though. One click and my classes and methods automatically have phpDoc comments attached to them.
