        How it looks, obviously:

        sea-quail

Note, the above is not an accurate rendition of the rare and deadly "sea quail".

Normally for me its Postgress, the SQL part imo is not needed if the people talking understand the topic. P G S Q L also works.

Agreed, I always say that sometimes for MySQL I say, "Mysql (Mii-Sk~ul)"
Usually SQL is the way you pronounce it.

              I say Ess Que El.

For some reason it really annoys me when people say Sequel ¬_¬

                      A bit of history.

The reason why many people pronounce 'SQL' as 'sequel' is because it was the name of the first implementation of a database querying language developed by IBM in 1974 for their System R. It was initially named SEQUEL, which stood for Structured English Query Language, but they were obliged to shorten the name to SQL (omitting the 'English' word from the original name) due to some legal reasons (copyrights).

Anyway, I pronounce it as 'sequel'. It's pretty much easier than enunciating every letter independently.

Simple test: Try to enunciate 'SQL' 5 quick consecutive times, then do the same with 'sequel'. Which is better?
You're spending millions of dollars on a website?!

Ah, thanks for the history lesson, simsim. That clears up where 'sequel' came from. However, just as I say aytch tee em ell, pee aytch pee, see ess ess, and ay ess pee (among others), I will say ess cue ell. On the other hand, I will say NASA, FEMA, LASAR, etc.
