      Check this out..

      I control my:
      TV
      HD cable box
      DVD/Surround Sound?
      Video switch Control Box

It has a learning function, so if there is no code in the book, you can point the remote at the orginal and press the buttons. It will learn the functions and off you go!

Nice, but it doesn't look as nice as the Logitech's The learning functions on the modern day remotes are pretty smart, but I wish I could find one which would control my remote control mains switches too Pity that appears to operate using RF

I have a mid-range Logitech that is quite nice. I can control my TV, VCR and DVR players with it. It can also interact with game consoles like the Wii.

I bought a Logitech 880 Harmony. I use it to control my TV, DVD, VCR, Sound System, and the Media Center PC in my family room.

It's not that stylish, I aggree. But it does it's job. It will learn other remotes and other functions. There are 8 different devices you can program into it. I wanted a remote that was learning and cheap..

Some of the others are 80 dollars +. I Seen one at BestBuy for 400 bucks.

Not my wife. If I dont take to remote from her, I end up watching WE and Lifetime...... Sad thing, once you get brainwashed in those channels you find yourself watching them......

I got a Harmony 885 and it's really nice. The more expensive models do have RF in it, or you can try to buy a infrared to RF addon?

But, it works like a breeze, and even better, my gf even finds it handy and know how to use it

Hmm. I have 3 remote control mains sockets (all operated from one remote) in my room. And from looking at the remote control, it says Frequency 433.92mhz on it. The logitech website is very vague on what it can do with RF with the 895 remote. It doesn't indicate whether RF is trainable or what not.
