Anyone else knows about wikia.com?

It's very similar to wikipedia but within fake, sarcastic, and rude articles/information, though kinda of funny.

I knew it today and I laughed alot reading some articles, it even critize holy and religious things - nothing to respect!

Uncyclopedia is a well known humour wiki, and no, it's not official by Wikia, just hosted there.

It's a humour site, kind of like satirical or parody type humour magazines. See their wikipedia article:

It lists it as a 'satirical wiki'. But it's pretty funny never the less, and hey, it's all in fun.

Not exactly, by Wikipedia's founder & former chairwoman of the foundation, but it has nothing to do with Wikipedia other than that. Wikia is a for-profit company. Wikimedia, the foundation overseeing Wikipedia is a non-profit organization.

Wikipedia != (Wikia || Wikis).

Wikipedia is an official encyclopedia. Rules & policies for creating & editing content on it could very simply span multiple huge paper volumes, yet they're all online.

Any other wiki, is just content "edited collaboratively", and that's the whole purpose of Wikia.

Encyclopedia Dramatica is a lot worse though. And Defo not worksafe in case you were planning on checking it out.

The Wikia software is good though, I find myself using wowwiki a lot for misc Lore/Quest info on WoW
