Yep, an 11-item array. I was getting more at the contents of the array members, which are regular expressions (which I absolutely hate!!).

I'm busy learning PHP myself. I want to build a content management system for my site. You want to know how i learn?
Basically, i went to Webmasterbase.com, looked at a couple tutorials. Copy and pasted the code, changed it to my DB, it worked (amazing!). Then i thought i was cool and changed the code to get it to do what i wanted. I got parse errors. I played around with it enough and stared at it enough to figure out what some things mean.
I'm still doing that, but understand the basics now Trial and error.Comment

i love the tuts which
1. first tell what php functions will be used
2. show the code/example
3. explain what the functions did in relation to the code:: Always Back Up Forum Database + Attachments BEFORE upgrading !

George, we must have gotten the same idea about cracking down and learning something in earnest yesterday. Once Kevin Yank's tutorial jumped into working with a database, my eyes glazed over, though. I need to go back and read some different tutorials today to reinforce what I learned yesterday...and it's looking like I'll trash all the work I did on the form and have it dynamically generated too.
I'm of the mind that "if I can't do it on the web, it isn't worth doing", but I may have to break down and buy a book on payday.Comment

The only script I made work was a madlibs thing that I did for Kathy a couple months ago when I first started learning. http://hystersisters.com/libs2.php Anyway, the current little project is a "timed test" for multiplication tables for my daughter and her math class. The advice I've gotten over at site point is enough to keep me busy all day trying to figure out exactly what does what and how to apply it exactly to what I want to do. The only problem is that it makes my head swim. (I don't dream in PHP yet. ) It's looking like I'll have to trash the form I made (which took me about an hour to create) and start all over again today. <sigh>Comment
