Do you think this will improve my registration

My forum is new and i promote it all the time.I have about 4-5 registered members on average per day.Do you think if i disable the what is going on box for guests will improve my regs ?What makes a guest leave a forum without have a deep look at it ?!He just sees how many people have registered and how many posts and topics there are ?

Depends what your goal is.
If it's to have loads of "dead" users, ie. people that just register and never come back, then by all means.
If you want users that actually contribute you need other ways of wetting their appetites, perhaps by letting them see some of the content and force them to register if they want to respond to some of it.

Once my forum is running, I plan to set somet up where a guest can view up to 10 pages/threads, and they are then forced to register to view any more.......

Either that, or run some competitions etc. Maybe give some stuff away thats related to your forum?

I like the idea of some forums setting up so you have to register to see the answer to a specific question..

I don't have my forums set up that way myself, but i like the idea...

I have 6 new registrations per day on average and all of them has posted.What do you think.I have 25 members after the first few days?
