Way Off-Topic Coin sorter for UK currency

    Howdy UK'ers

I'm looking for one of those coin sorting machines as I'm sick and tired of having to manually count out these pennies and put them in bags. I'd like it to be mains powered as the solely battery-powered ones are pointless. It's not like I'm going to be travelling the world with this thing or using it on the train.

And please don't suggest those rip-off machines they have in Tesco that take 7.9p of every pound you put in I want my own, based on someone's reccomendation.

Just go to the bank and they drop it in theirs? And put the money on your account.

That's what I do every year.

Get this one, i think it does your dishes too.

          Only: £199.99

Not to sure about finding any reviews, i guess amazon would be your best bet for that...

You have to sort them into moneybags to take it into the bank.

That's a note counter, not a coin counter, and that model is notoriously dodgy

I need one of these... I hate counting up all the coins to take them to the bank

Which it's not... and while the different types of checking it does are nice ... if any of these break slightly, you get a false positive ... and they break a lot - I remember using one like this and couldnt get through a batch of 20 notes without it screwing up somehow (twas fun when it would shoot the notes up into the air though!!!)

I have a bag of dollar coins, I'm afraid of taking it to a shop and the attendant throwing it in my head. And I'm not even american.

For coin counting I would recommend one of these:

They have come down in price a lot, they used to cost around £150 but work well.

Whatever you do don't spend £20 on the sliding style counters, they are absolutly useless.

Crikey, I was only looking to spend about 30 pounds
