Computer Chat Which PHP Editor do the vBulletin team use?

    Hi,

Which PHP editor do you guys who make vBulletin use and recommend I have come across a few but not sure about any of them?

    1. http://www.zend.com/en/products/studio/ - Zend Studio
    2. http://www.mpsoftware.dk/phpdesigner.php - php Designer 2008
    3. http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamw...eamweaver_home - Adobe Dreamweaver

But I am sure there are loads more PHP editors but which would you lot recommend?

I'd be interested to know this too - And also (on a somewhat related note) where's the best place to learn PHP.... Any good sites out there?

I am not on the dev team, but on the tech team hehe. I use TextMate & LAMP to code my PHP, I am still in the learning level and don't need things like a PHP IDE. I don't use Dreamweaver except when I need a complex <table> that's easier to just quickly make in dreamweaver. I also try to use SVN where it is handy to use it. But that's about it.

        www.php.net

Also, www.w3schools.com does wonders for starters, it's where I began learning PHP.

I'd check out PHP Designer 2008, I just got it, and I doubt I will look at anything else.

Any Mac users out there? I'm using BBEdit right now, but if there are other good alternatives, I would love to hear suggestions.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

                  W3Schools &lt;- awesome site for html/css help

As Floris suggested, TextMate is very good. This is what I use and it's great. I like the interface a lot more than BBEdit, it seems more user friendly to me.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this thread was directed at none of the people who have so far posted in this thread. Myself included

It's still a chit chat thread, if the user only wants staff to reply then a private support ticket might be more suitable.
