How your forum members can read posts in your private forums

I hate to cause trouble around here, but try this:
    1. Copy a post (not a thread, a post) from a public forum to a new thread in your moderators' forum (that general forum members don't have access to).
    2. Respond to that post in your moderators' forum saying "This guy is an idiot."
Even if the original poster is not a moderator, he will get the contents of your response emailed to him!

It has been fixed in 3.7.0, but your 3.6.8 board is still vulnerable. Cool, huh?

Thats why you shouldn't insult your members.

Looking at that bug report, I see an attachment for a patch file (Posted Tue 4th Sep '07 9:51am).

If it is something that you are seriously concerned with, you can download that.

It has been vBulletin's practice in the past to release patches when there is a security flaw (People being able to damage the forums content), but bug fixes are always next release.

I'm just happy that they post more patch files now.
