    Curse vBulletin! Rot, Burn, Die!

... for not coming into my life earlier!

Seriously, I was using phpBB for 5+ years and had no idea of the expansive, comprehensive and tremendously powerful capabilities that come with vBulletin. It quite literally dwarfs phpBB. If I had known about vBulletin back then, today I would be saying "phpb... who??"

There are so many reasons the software is superior. I don't know if there is a thread on this, I can list 10 reaons off the top of my head why it's the best. I'll only name a couple of things...

One thing that is totally cool is how easy it is to import new add-ons. And if you don't like them, it's just as easy to uninstall. Takes under a minute when you know where the options are as opposed to hand-installing or coding mods which can take hours for the complex ones in other forum bundles.

vBulletin is also easily worth much more than the cheap $129 license cost. Honestly, part of me thinks it should be priced somewhere in the hundreds, or even over $1,000. But the affordable price is another reason why the software and it's programmers are so great - they've kept the common person in mind with regards to affordability.

I also noticed that the attitude here is much more supportive and friendly. On other forum websites, it seems like they are looking for an excuse to call your post off-topic and lock it every time you post. Unhelpful to say the least.

Anyway, vBulletin is the best forum software, bar none, and I'm confident and supportive of it staying on top for years to come.

Is it safe to assume you just imported your old phpBB community?

Just keep buying more and the price will go down.

Actually, I bought the leased license + blog software, so that came to $135, and not $129 like I originally posted. I know what I'm doing next year... buying the owned license!

OR, you could just upgrade in the next 30 or so days (you have up to 60 days after your purchase) to an owned license for an additional 85.00

Yes, an owned license is well worth it.
