If I am the holder of a vBulletin license and install the board on a friend's website, then he turns around and bans me from accessing any of the site, am I able to change my license to my own domain without penalties? Will my licenses be flagged in any way since they are being used on a site that does not have a legit license anymore? It's a leased license so it expires next year, but I want to know what I am able to do without jeopardizing my other licenses.
vBulletin license/piracy question.

Did you give that person your Customer Number and access to members area on vBulletin, if not you can just contact his host to delete database. It is thief if he can not prove the files belong to him.Comment

Assuming this license is registered in your name and not to a separate entity then it's yours to use. You can change the URL of your license in the members area. You could then inform this guy he has to purchase his own license if he wishes to continue using the software. And let him know you'll be alerting Jelsoft to the situation within x days. After x days have passed, change the URL in members area and follow through on your promise.Comment
