Nothing at all, just so you know. Speaking for myself personally.

Why would we vote for IPB just because some of us have received an infraction(s), that would be a childish thing to do. I couldn't care less about the infraction anyway, it not as though I've lossed a leg or something.

I'm not going to be re-newing my licence anyway come this December, so I will have limited access here then anyway.

I've only had serious interaction with phpBB and vBulletin, so my opinion would be a bit biased, but from what I have tried of others (including IF, IPB, MyBB, SMF, and probably many others), vBulletin is far better. I never liked the IF or IPB line for some reason. It's recent versions seem like they may be better, but I just personally don't like it. Guess it's down to preference. phpBB and MyBB are good free alternatives, but phpBB seems to lack a bit in the support and security aspects, and MyBB is still small on the styles/MODs/community aspect. If I was going with another major project board right now, it'd be nothing but vBulletin no doubt. I prefer it's customization and it's great support are the top reasons.

Edit: Balthasorus, the installation really is extremely simple. You download the package, edit the config.php file, upload the "upload" folder, and run a script. It's sounds more difficult than it actually is.

Try selecting Notepad or Wordpad, if that doesn't work make a shortcut on your desktop to Wordpad and drag/drop the php file on top of the Wordpad icon. It will open the file with Wordpad (or the selected program / desktop icon.)

or do a search for: Notetab Light

there is a free version which is great

It’s a versatile text editor, a popular Notepad replacement, and a blazingly fast HTML editor. NoteTab gets more done in less time. Try it!
