    Time for new headphones

It was bound to happen sooner or later.

It seems after a while of owning a set of headphones, one of the ears dies. This usually is because of the wire, as sometimes I can bend it a certain way and the sound will come back. This has happened with 3 sets now, and I'm kind of sick of it (even though my current pair has lasted at least a year and a half).

I'm currently using a pair of Plantronics I picked up at Circuit City for about $30. I'm looking for a good pair of headphones with a built in mic that won't die.

Prior to the ear dying, my headphones (which are on a little arm that swings up to match the curve of the head part, or swing down to go by your mouth) decided that it wouldn't work if it was swung down near my mouth. So, currently to use my mic, I have had to flip the whole headset down, covering my eyes, so the mic would be able to pick up my voice.

So what's a good set of headphones/mic that will last for more than 2 years?

    Plantronics are pretty good.
I believe Creative, and logitech have some nice sets out too..

But you really don't need anything really expensive, if its just for common VoIP applications...

      I hate headphones..

Maybe, it is because my ear is shaped like a vampire and it doesn't fit into mine..

                    hi

Did you know that headphones increase ear bacteria for over 90%?

btw I am looking for good ones as well. Maybe I will pay some money and get Bose, ther are one of the best.

I have the same one. The only reason why mine broke is because.... erm... *someone* stepped on it... lol

I love it I would suggest it to anyone who wants to spend $50 on a headset or try to find it on sale

That's the least of my worries when it comes to things infecting me with bacteria.

I was looking at Sennheisers, and thought, "oh, those look nice". Then I clicked the X after seeing the price, haha.

I was checking out the .audio 370 from Plantronics, which are what Team Pandemic uses. $50 isn't too bad if they're great quality that such a well known clan uses them.

... dude, Sennheisers is the way to go!! Don't discriminate against them because of the price; compare based on actual sound quality and how well built it is. Like vBulletin, it's well worth the money!
                          Best Regards,

Headsets annoy me so much. They always mess up either because the sound goes crazy because of the wiring or the microphone becomes fuzzy when talking to people with. It fustrates me because even when you buy expensive ones, the same thing happens to them although over a long period of time but not much longer.
