Ordered from Amazon, showed up around 12:30 PM on the 21st, finished reading around 10:00 the next morning. Truly a fantastic finale, well worth around ten years of wait.

If anyone in Canada hasn't bought the book yet, and you are planning to then get it at Safeway on the first Tuesday of the month. Why?

They are using the promotion of buy the book get 25 airmiles, and on the first Tuesday you get 10x the airmiles, so a 25$ book gets you 250 airmiles. Sweet deal!

How is it so far? No spoilers please.
No, and I have no intentions either. I much prefer to wait and see the film myself

Got it read it. It was quite good, and still amazed by how the story unfolded.

Sad that there won't be any more, though.
Congratulations on the death of vBulletin, Internet Brands.

Books and movies present stories in so many different ways that they don't really compare. This can be radically different like the differences between Romeo and Juliet and Westside Story, which are still based on the same story. Or subtle where key character subplots are missing from the screen due to time constraints which happens in the Harry Potter series when translated to film.

Oh my god, was that a spoiler

You say their won't be anymore, the only reason why there would not be anymore is if Harry Potter dies in it. Unless they have said this is the last Potter film themselves.

I'm a bit sad now that it's over . I mean, I've read them since I was in 5th grade, and now I graduated this past June. I finished it last night before I went to bed, and while I was trying to fall sleep I just kept thinking about the story/ending and thinking "Wow, that's the last new harry potter book I'll read."

My wife went out and got the book yesterday at about 5:00 p.m. I read it last night. Fairly good ending. About how I really suspected it would go.
