I am slowly tiring of Internet Explorer 7.0+

Should i make the move to Firefox?
    Currently running ver - 2.0.0.3.

It's uses much less resources, and run's much faster on Windows Vista Ultimate.

I did do a small test yesterday, and what better way to test out trying too crash a Browser but on myspace.com

IE 7.0+ on Windows Vista Ultimate Mass Test = Total Crashes and IE 7.0+ restarts "4" with 3 relocation issues.
FireFox on Windows Vista Ultimate Mass Test = Total Crashes "0" with one relocation issue.

If your not sure what a relocation issue is, if you have ever used IE 7.0+ on Windows Vista, with multiple browser windows open.
"I personally have 8 open at once, yes i hate tabs.
It is when the browser decides it wants to relocate it's position, and decides to move to another location in the taskbar.
This has not only been an issue on Windows Vista with browsers, but also IM Applications..

Please note: IE 7.0 for Windows XP and IE 7.0+ for Windows Vista are two different versions of Internet Explorer..

Please don/t turn this thread into an OS or Browser war!!

Yes you won't regret it, I use Firefox for one reason: Less resources, Easy to mod, better skins.

Oh, and if you ever need to go on a website such as windows update you can use the mod "IETab" Which I do which makes Microsoft think you have IE.

If you're already using up a lot of resources and try to open Firefox it may take up to 10 seconds to open. Once it's open you won't have any crashes.
When I try to open IE when my resources are exhausted it always freezes.

Why don't you like tabs, by the way? I mean, I didn't like them either a while ago, but once I got used to them I liked them more than using windows.

            It just seems really odd.
Congratulations on the death of vBulletin, Internet Brands.

I/m not really sure, i just don't like using Tab's.
Most have no issues with them, i simple just don/t like them..

There is no reason to use Internet Explorer unless you have no choice.

I can't stand IE7. You'll save yourself from going nuts if you make the change to Firefox. For me FF can use a good bit of resources, but I wouldn't know if it's less then IE7 since I only open it for a few seconds for design reasons then hurry and exit.

You should install This its very hand as it gives you full compatibility of IE while your still using FF

Firefox uses more memory than IE. Right now Firefox is using 58/59 while IE is using 50/51. It also generally takes longer for FF to load than IE. I have 1 GB DDR Ram and AMD Athlon 64 processor.
