    Best vb Blog?!

What kind of blogging software do you use with your forum? Which did you think was the best and why? I've heard of vbJournal and vBlogetin but I cant decide which ones good. Any suggestions?

there's really not much to choose from. as of now, vBlogetin is the only actively developed product which is actually worth every buck of it's price.

Yes, but when you could get a free vbJournal which is so much like vBlogetin, how could you say vBlogetin is worth every buck. I do realise that the fees is so much less when you compare it with other addons.

because as far as I'm aware, vbJournal is no longer supported, it's buggy as hell, and there's no version for vb 3.6. which makes vBlogetin the only option until Jelsoft release their own blog (most likely some time around the release of vB 4.0)

Ooh. I didnt know about Jesolft releasing its own blog software. Would that come with an extra fee? I think I should wait for the vb4 release.

and I don't think you should. first, I was just guessing. they have never announced any formal plans to create a blog. second, I very much doubt it will be free. and third, if you do decide to wait, you'll be waiting for a very long time. vB 4.0 is most likely at least a year away.

May I ask who Brian is and what is vBa?

Anyway, I might buy vBlogetin soon, if i get a green signal from my forum members.

rumor has been going around that he is working on a blog for a very long time. but in reality, I don't think a blog from vBAdvanced wis going to happen because Brian is with Zoints now, and has other priorities.

Is vBlogetin is encoded with Zend/ ioncube? Actually i don't like encoded scripts to be used in my forum.. For vB SEO i have no other choice
                        something...

I like vBlogetin and Andrien mentioned he is working on a release that would make his blog table-boardless.

You can see an example on the main blogetin website where it shows previews of his blogs, yet no ugly boarders like you see with the default vBAdvanced. Instead it looks more like typepad or other popular blog software.

This is why i like Blogetins outlook so much. If Andrien can accomplish that in a release then i surely will buy in an instant, even if it were $50 or $100 etc.

But, for me i want Article/Blog functionality specifically as seen on the main vBlogetin website. Sort of looks like a simple, easy to use, news or article website.

removing borders is a only matter of removing a few lines in CSS...
