Start pages

I have long thought, inspired by the script I use for the start page of my browser, to make a dynamic portal where someone can make their own dynamic startpage..

Does anybody know if there's the possibility to exchange hosting for the service, in exchange of ads, or something?

note to anyone else - nothing against hostrocket, they're great, it's just I have no site there at the moment
