        You could always try the IE Tab extension. It lets you use Windows Update and other generally IE-only tasks with Firefox.

          IE6/FF :
          TOP BAR -> Toolbar | Menu | Address Bar & Search from address bar
          2ND BAR -> Links

          IE7:
          TOP BAR -> Foward/Back Button only | Address Bar | Search
          2ND BAR -> Menu
          3RD BAR -> Links
          4TH BAR -> Tabs(ALWAYS ON!!!) | Rest of buttons

              I will try that but those sites I use also require me install 3rd party progranms that communicate directly with IE. So, I am not sure. I will see.

                I won't be thinking of using IE7 for at least another year. Too many sites don't work properly in it and I'm sure it'll be a long time before those sites eventually support IE7.

                          You may need to turn on the menu bar - right-click on the buttons area to turn that on.

                          Or, press Ctrl-f
