48 hours of trying to register

My who's online page shows one guest has been constantly trying to register for over two days now. They try every minute or so. They don't show an IP or user agent, they just show up as "fcevtk6.evertekfc.net" (and evertekfc.net isn't even a real domain).

I've tried to block them with .htaccess, to no avail.

Any idea who this is, and how I can make him go away?

I'm mostly worried he's trying to sql inject or something.

If he was after 48 hours it would have happened already. There are no known exploits for vBulletin at this time.

It's visited my board too. It must be some search engine gathering info.

The domain must have existed at some point: Google results.

They must have an IP, though. If you have resolve IPs enabled in WOL, turn it off temporarily. It sounds like a lame-ass potential SEO spam bot attempting to register. The ones that try at my site are so idiotic that they tend to remain as awaitng e-mail activation.

It shows up as 63.166.111.6 but that reverse domain lookups to the same non-existent domain. That's one of the ways I tried to .htaccess deny it. Plus I see others here on vb.com have run into that same IP address.
