Are domain names that end with .cc any good. or are there any pitfalls you should be well aware off first in having a site like "mysite.cc" compared to mysite.org or mysite.com etc.
Also, how comes I can search GoDaddy or Namecheap for a certain domain name that ends with .cc like "mysite.cc" and it shows as taken. Yet with my host who lets you register a domain with them when you take a new account out if your not transfaring a domain too them. It shows as available to purchase. What gives there, how comes my host shows it up for grabs tp purchase. (but it would finish up registered to them when you do a "Whois" on the domain name after you get it through them) I might add. Yet GoDaddy and Namecheap both say it's taken?
How can my host sell me a domain throught them, that according to both GoDaddy and namecheap is already taken up. And if you visit the address there are banners there on it too. Indicating it is in fact taken!
